Chrome PVD vs. Traditional Chrome Plating for Premium Wheels
If you want the high gloss “mirror chrome” look without the downsides of old school chrome, Chrome PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is the move. It’s lighter, more corrosion resistant, easier to maintain, and friendlier to the environment. That’s why we offer PVD across Modern Muscle Wheels, ALT Forged, Gem Forged, WC Forged, MRR, and Avant Garde selections. Traditional chrome plating still has its place, but for most customers especially daily drivers and performance builds PVD wins.

I was looking for two things, 1) ZR1 style wheels that fit the Stingray in a 20x9/21x12 setup, and 2) a silvery finish that looks kind of like the OEM wheels.
Gem Motorsports is the only one with this exact setup using their Brushed Aluminum finish and it looks amazing! I'm super happy with how this turned out. They are also super light. I had another set of aftermarket forged wheels on my car in the oem 19x8.5/20x11 sizing, and noticed right away that the Gem GZR wheels are lighter even though I've sized up.
SacCityCorvette ordered ALT7 wheels for our Grand Sport and had a few questions that were promptly answered. They sent the front wheels that were in stock right out and will be sending the rears as soon as they are finished. The fronts are beautiful! Can't wait for the rears. It was great that I could order the new wheels and add this option...since I needed new tires also. Received them in great packaging and it was just a matter of swapping out the old wheels in the garage.

First, working with Gem Motorsports was fantastic. Great communication from Cris every step of the way. Second, the Alt Mach wheels did not dissappoint! They look great and I love the Corvette center cap fits. Once I got them balanced and mounted, the wheels needed very little weights which talked to the great quality. Great wheels!!

I bought a set of GEM ALTR10 forged wheels for my 2019 Z06. Cris worked with me to get a great deal and even managed to ship me a demo wheel so I could get a feel on how the new wheels would look on my Corvette. The wheels were built and delivered on time and in great packaging. I had them mounted by a local high end wheel store and they were amazed at how well balanced the wheels were right out of the box.
